Description

DORS 700 is designed for counting of banknotes of single denomination and simultaneous authentication of the counted banknotes on lack of the banknote paper background luminescence at UV light illumination.

  • High reliability and stability of counter’s operation.
  • Counting of banknotes with simultaneous size control and authentication on lack of the banknote paper background luminescence at UV light illumination.
  • Three counting speed presets provide reliable counting of new and worn out banknotes.
  • Dust-proof and moisture-proof control panel.
  • Stop of counting and error code display (chained notes, double notes, stuck, jammed notes, banknotes with a big missing fragment).
  • The stacker and some parts of the construction are made of impact-resistant plastic with added carboxylic fiber.
  • Convenient handle for carrying machine.

Purpose

  • Banknote counter DORS 700 is intended for counting of banknotes of different currencies. It is recommended for single-denomination counting for businesses with high cash turnover.
  • Recommended for use at cashier’s desk in retail and service companies. DORS 700 allows to count quickly cash set out at face value in cash register.
  • DORS 700 is successfully used in the client area of credit organizations: the person who received cash has an opportunity to count and verify the accuracy of the issued amount at he’s own.

Distinguishing features

While counting banknotes of any currency and any denomination banknote counter DORS 700 performs size control of each counted banknote: the banknote counter determines the length of the short side of the first passed banknote, takes it as a standard and then compares the length of each following banknote with the standard. This type of control allows to check the denomination of banknotes in the batch.

The path (i.e. the elements of the counter, with which the banknote comes in contact during counting process) of DORS 700 is designed to handle the cash of any degree of wear. It is achieved by all technologies applied in DORS 700, beginning with the determination of the optimal angle of entry of banknotes in the path, ending with the chemical composition of the plastic elements of the path. These technologies ensure smooth passing of banknotes in the path, elimination of static electricity, thus provide accurate placing of counted banknotes in stacker

The stacker and some parts of the construction are made of impact-resistant plastic with added carboxylic fiber — this prevents plastic rubbing and thus ensures proper banknote passing in the path during the whole lifetime of DORS 700.

Hopper rollers have high wear resistance, that allows counting millions of banknotes without their replacement. As far as is known, feed rollers are the most wearing elements of any counter. The jam error, skew error, double or chain errors appear even with a small rubbing of the feed rollers. DORS 700 is equipped with special wear-resistant rollers.

DORS 700 has convenient handle for carrying the machine and for turning the machine if necessary to turn it’s display in the right direction.

  • Red LED display is designed in accordance with the credit organizations’ demand, where all of the cashier’s actions must be recorded by B/W security cameras.
  • The counting results are shown on display. The displayed figures have high contrast, resolution and sufficient size to be readable by all existing video surveillance systems.
  • Stop of counting and error code display (chained notes, double notes, stuck, jammed notes, banknotes with a big missing fragment).
  • The message error points up the cashier of the suspicious banknote. It is recommended to count this banknote once again and to make sure of the banknote authenticity.
  • If the counter stops on the same banknote twice, it is recommended to check the authenticity of banknote thoroughly.

As a rule, as time passes the characters on the keyboard begin to wear out and gradually disappear. The use of the most efficient abrasion-resistant coating technology relieves the user of DORS 700 from this problem.

Functional capabilities

Addition mode allows to count any amount of cash of single denomination. It is useful when comparing the number of banknotes in a bundle with a statement on the number of banknotes. Also useful when receiving a large number of low denomination banknotes from the client, i.e. allow to avoid counting of each note by hand.

Batch mode allows to form the batch (100 banknotes) of the same denomination. This mode is useful when issuing a foregone amount to the client: cashier sets the required number of banknotes, then puts any number of banknotes of single denomination into hopper. If the counted number of banknotes is less than the set one, the counter automatically continue through the accumulation of the next counting. If there are more banknotes in the hopper than the set one, DORS 700 counts the required number of banknotes and stops.

The Automatic mode allows to avoid pressing any key to start counting. DORS 700 starts the counting operation automatically after the banknotes were placed into hopper.

Indication of activated modes: it is not necessary to remember the modes and settings, it suffices to look at the control panel.

«START» key allows to control beginning of the count procedure. It is useful when counting worn-out banknotes: the cashier has the opportunity to place the banknotes into hopper evenly.

It is convenient to operate by two and more cashiers: a new cashier sees the settings used by the previous cashier and can change the setting for personal use quickly.

Types of control

  • Background luminescence at UV light illumination. This type of control allows detecting the counterfeit banknotes which differ from the original ones in paper background luminescence at UV light illumination.
  • The paper optical density is determined as average value of IR transmission passed through banknote. This is the basic level of control obligatory for every banknote counter.
  • Size control of each counted banknote: DORS 700 determines the length of the short side of the first passed banknote and takes it as a standard. Then the banknote counter compares the length of each following banknote with the standard. In case the lengths of the banknotes coincide, the counting continues. If the length of the current banknote differs from the length of the standard banknote significantly, the counting stops automatically, DORS 700 makes an audio signal and error code appears on display.
  • Double detection is used to determine that two banknotes layered on each other during counting didn’t pass as one banknote.
  • The chain control also helps to avoid counting error. The time control of passing the banknote in the path: in case two banknotes are overlapped, the banknote counter doesn’t recognize them as one banknote and thus there is no counting error.
  • Detection of banknotes with a big missing fragment allows to make sure of physical integrity of counted banknotes and to reject the faulty banknotes.
  • Detection of jammed banknotes inside the device allows avoiding damage of large number of banknotes. Usually jams are caused by foreign objects in the path (paper clips, paper, etc.). In this case the first counted banknote gets jammed, though DORS 700 stops counting in order to avoid damage of other banknotes.
