Video capture device (videoconvertor) is designed for connecting DORS 1100 infrared counterfeit detector to personal computer through standard USB-connector and software installed to PC it is used for visual detailed authenticity verification of banknotes, securities, documents, excise duty stamps and other security printing documents. USB interface standard 2.0. Could be also used for capturing video from other devices than DORS 1100 like video tape recorders, etc.

Description

Video converter is designed for connecting DORS 1100 Infrared Counterfeit Detector to personal computer through standard USB-connector and software installed to PC it is used for visual detailed authenticity verification of banknotes, securities, documents, excise duty stamps and other security printing documents.

The software included into the complete set of videoconverter gives opportunity for viewing video signal on PC monitor and saving video data in AVI format and image data in BMP format.
The data saved can be viewed with extra magnification, edited and saved in other formats widely used for viewing and editing photo/video data.

DORS 1100 equipped with television magnifiers DORS 1020 or DORS 1010 and connected to PC through videoconverter, provides an opportunity for counterfeit detection of security printing documents with detailed analysis and multiple zooming of protective elements, printing defects and possible modifications in different spectrums.

The image of the object, transmitted to DORS 1100 Viewing Detector monitor is transformed from analogue picture signal to digitized image, with the help of software included into the complete set the picture is observed on the PC monitor in the form of continuous video stream.

The video stream from DORS 1100 detector is displayed on PC monitor with magnification. Magnification power is not limited and is determined only by PC monitor size and software zooming opportunities.

For example, DORS 1100 equipped with DORS 1020 and connected to PC with 15″ monitor through videoconverter, provides fragment display with 50x magnification (without additional software zooming). Further investigation of the objects, saved as separate images can be performed with the help of image processing programs with magnification up to 160x, depending on the object structure and characteristics.
